About the Role

Reporting to the Turnaround/Campaign Maintenance Manager, the Turnaround/Campaign Maintenance Master Scheduler is part of the Maintenance Turnaround Team in the Production Department.
The Master Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the Maintenance Annual Plan for Opportune and Campaign work and leads the scheduling function for Planned Turnaround events at Site.
The Master Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the Schedule for all the activities associated to Maintenance Campaign and Plant Turnaround events at Site.
The Master Scheduler role is a backup support to the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team.
Close collaboration with the Resident Engineering Team, CMMS Team and EPC Contractor is required.

You will use your expertise to:
During commissioning, startup & ramp up Phases
  • Work with Turnaround and Maintenance Planners and CMMS Lead to ensure completion of the CMMS data base and continuous update of the database as needed
  • Develop the Turnaround Maintenance detailed schedule to ensure readiness for initial Campaign/Turnaround event(s)
During Operate (run and maintain) Phase
  • Processes Owner for the Scheduling function. Ensures competency of others in use of scheduling tools, trains, and mentors Planners and Schedulers
  • Implements Routine and Non-Routine Scheduling Premise document
  • Primavera Focal Point for the Site
  • Work in collaboration with the Planners to Prepare a detailed Schedule for each of the activities identified as part of the scope for all the Campaign Maintenance and Turnaround events
  • Create logical network of activities and, ultimately, a critical path of work and schedule, without overly constraining the schedule.
  • Determines activity relationships and create logistical ties based on planning and execution inputs
  • Prepare the the daily/weekly shift schedules at the activity and resource level
  • Report progress at various detail levels and overall, on a daily or weekly basis
  • Ensures security profiles are maintained to sufficiently protect the project file, but not overly encumber the process
  • Create and maintain the Short/Medium/Long Term Maintenance Annual Plan of Preventative, Corrective, Opportune and Campaign work
  • USE Primavera 6 approximately 60% of time
  • Use SAP approximately 40% of time
To be successful, you will have:
  • 10 years refinery or petrochemical plant scheduling experience
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience and advanced skill level in scheduling using Primavera
  • 3 to 5 years in a Maintenance Planning role
  • Maintenance Execution Planning
  • Demonstrated Skill in SAP Blueprint
  • Demonstrated Master in Scheduling tools (Primavera)
  • Good coaching and leadership and skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Skill in Excel, SAP, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Scope Management - Mastery
  • Turnaround Execution – Skill
  • Power Bi – Skill
  • Data Management – Knowledge
  • Management of Change experience would be an asset


This role requires that you:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
  • Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). For applicants located outside of the region, you are encouraged to explore what Kitimat has to offer in terms of lifestyle including schooling, local amenities, outdoor adventure, and housing, to ensure Kitimat is where you would like to call your new home.
  • Know that approximately for year 2025, you will work 50hrs of work, not necessarily every Saturday and Sunday off during the Commissioning Start up phase of the project.
  • During Operate: 40hrs per week/5/2.
  • Know that during Campaign Maintenance and Turnaround events will require additional effort including longer hours and shift work
  • Are willing to work outdoors during inclement weather in all seasons including heavy snowfall and periods of heavy rain.
  • Travel may be required between Kitimat and Calgary to provide maintenance input to the design and quality assurance to both the asset and project construction team
  • Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, a background check and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
  • Have a Valid Driver’s license
  • Know that this is not a fly-in, fly-out rotation role.
