Truck Driver - Class 1
Summary
This position is responsible for the safe operation of a truck to deliver products to customers. Deliveries are in Québec, Maritimes and Ontario.
Main Responsibilities
Valid Class 1E Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
Benefits:
This position is responsible for the safe operation of a truck to deliver products to customers. Deliveries are in Québec, Maritimes and Ontario.
Main Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads truck with products adhering to all company and governmental regulations.
- Operates semi-truck with one or two trailers according to company policies and federal laws.
- Transports load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established company procedures
- Maintains vehicle cleanliness.
- Performs safety inspections on truck and equipment as required by company policy.
- Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking, on a daily basis, oil, water, fuel, tires, etc.
- Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to dispatcher.
- Follows all safety procedures for transportation of dangerous goods(if applicable).
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per policies.
Valid Class 1E Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
