Sporting Goods Associate - Part Time
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Meet, greet, and thank customers, provide friendly, informed service about sporting goods and outdoor recreational items
· Guide customers to location of products
· Stock shelves and display areas
· Keep stock clean, faced and orderly
· Suggest value-added and related products
· Control inventory accuracy
· Keep informed about promotions & in-store deals
· Maintain professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming, name tag)
· Follow company, store and department policies
· Participate in meetings, and all training, as required
· Complete other tasks, as required
Major Requirements & Competencies
· Ability to provide professional customer service and employee support
· Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals
· Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to complete tasks according to instructions and demonstrate responsibilities for outcomes
· Approachability
· Punctuality
· Knowledge of competitive sports and outdoor recreational activities
· Effective written and oral communication skills
· Basic math skills
PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) for firearms is an asset, but not required.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
