Security Guard - Mine Site - Yellowknife

Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is seeking a Security Guard for an industrial location in Yellowknife, NT. The successful applicant will provide security services to a remote mining site including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to site rules, site access, vehicle searches, foot and mobile patrolling, assistance with emergency response, and security of the mine area.

Duties Include:

Ensuring premises, client property and personnel are secured
Observing, recording, and reporting activities and security incidents
Preventing loss and damage by reporting irregularities
Patrolling assigned areas, checking for fires, wildlife, vandalism, suspicious activity, or safety/fire hazards
Answering or responding to emergencies and dispatch of emergency resources as needed

Qualifications:

Must reside in or around Yellowknife, NT
Grade 12 education or GED equivalent
Valid class 5 driver's licence
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be able to complete a criminal record check
Ability to understand and comply with site specific Post Orders
Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
Previous security experience preferred
Previous experience working in a large mining operation is preferred
Valid first aid certificate is an asset

Additional Information:

This position will work 12-hour shifts on a 4-day on/ off cycle.
