Sales Associate and Production Assistant
JACOBEAN Craft Chocolate is Newfoundland’s Bean-to-bar chocolate studio and we pride ourselves on being part of a worldwide movement that is changing the chocolate landscape. Using a Direct Trade approach, we are helping local equatorial farmers and families live better, healthier and safer lives. And we offer healthy choices for consumers by creating wonderful chocolate from plant based fresh ingredients. Our chocolate has won many international awards and we find ourselves after 5 short years, the most internationally award winning chocolate maker in Atlantic Canada. We love creating unique and flavourful chocolate recipes. We also hand craft Gelato and other frozen treats during the summer months.
We are looking for an energetic person to join our team as we make Chocolate Waves here on this beautiful triangle in the sea. This position is more weighted towards Sales, however, chocolate making is our JAM and the successful candidate will be exposed to all facets of our operations: training to be provided and no previous chocolate studio experience necessary. The ideal person will love meeting new people, be fun, smiling, friendly, interactive, engaging, enthusiastic, a multi-tasker, creative, represent and must love tasting chocolate. Our operations include a variety of pop-up and craft fair events currently scheduled and many more on the horizon: Farmer’s Market, Quidi Vidi Artisan Studios and other venues and many Christmas events.
· Requirements
· Comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
· Quick learner with a positive, can do attitude.
· Must have own reliable transportation.
· Must complete any job-related training that may occur.
· Ability to work agreed upon schedule (weekend work will be required).
· Must be punctual and dependable.
· Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.
· Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
· Food safety experience considered an asset.
· Sales experience considered an asset.

Pay: $15.60 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
