Position Summary:
As a Program Advisor within Clear Health Solutions Ltd. and Sheltering Wings in Saskatchewan, Canada, you will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of social work programs. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the effective delivery of services, adherence to policies and regulations, and the achievement of program goals. Your expertise and strategic thinking will contribute to the improvement of social services and the overall well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Planning:
- Conduct research, analyze data, and assess community needs to inform the development of social work programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and social workers, to identify program objectives, strategies, and outcomes.
2. Program Implementation and Monitoring:
- Provide guidance and support to program managers and staff in the implementation of social work initiatives.
- Ensure program activities are executed in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and ethical standards.
- Monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes, and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings with program stakeholders to assess progress and address challenges.
3. Policy Development and Evaluation:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research, and emerging issues to inform policy development and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to review and revise policies and procedures as needed.
- Evaluate the impact of policies and recommend changes to optimize service delivery and outcomes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including social work professionals, community organizations, and government agencies.
- Foster collaboration and partnerships to enhance program effectiveness and address social work challenges.
- Represent the Ministry in meetings, conferences, and public forums, delivering presentations and advocating for social work initiatives.
5. Training and Capacity Building:
- Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and resources to enhance the skills and knowledge of social work professionals.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues, program staff, and stakeholders on program-related matters.
- Identify professional development opportunities and promote continuous learning within the social work field.
6. Other Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavioural assessments for children and youth with diverse abilities, their families, care teams, and service providers.
- Design and implement individualized, intervention programs for children, including those with behavioural challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), or other developmental disabilities.
- Provide direct support for the execution of behaviour support plans in various settings such as family homes, schools, and community programs.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of intervention programs, ensuring continuous progress.
- Train and guide behavioural support workers, parents, and other related parties in implementing and maintaining behaviour support plans.
Roles & Expectations:
SCHEDULE:
- Set and establish a 2-day-per-week working schedule from 11 AM to 7 PM, and mandatory to attend community programming
- Participate in on-call rotation

- Expectation: Foster productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure program goals are collaboratively defined and pursued.
- Responsibility: Design program frameworks, policies, and guidelines that align with provincial priorities and best practices in social work.
- Expectation: Develop comprehensive and practical program structures that can be effectively implemented and evaluated.

- Responsibility: Conduct regular site visits and meetings with program stakeholders to assess progress and address challenges.

3. Policy Development and Evaluation
- Responsibility: Stay up-to-date with social work trends, research, and emerging issues to inform policy development and decision-making.
- Expectation: Remain informed about the latest developments in social work to ensure policies are current and effective.
- Responsibility: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to review and revise policies and procedures as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
