Job Overview
Columbia Street Pharmacy & Home Health Care Centre is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. You will assist with medication administration, manage inventory, and interact with patients to address their needs effectively. A strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting will be beneficial. The full-time position is for: Monday thru Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. ( No weekends, no evenings). Free staff parking provided on site.

Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication administration.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Support the pharmacist in patient care activities, including medication counseling.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Must have previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or have completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication.
- Experience in patient care and medication administration will be advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare professionals.
