Ideal candidate would be open availability as we operate 24/7. Different shifts would need to be covered from time to time. $15.20 to start for 3 month probation 1 dispatcher/call taker - candidate will start with call taking 20-40 hours, then will go to dispatching trading, up to 40 hours. This should take 4-6 weeks. From the end of dispatch training to the start of Nov you will fill in for shifts where needed. Start of Nov you will be guaranteed Wednesday and thursday 11pm-7am. More shifts could be needed other days but may only be the 16 hours. What you’ll need to succeed:
MUST HAVE LIVED IN HRM FOR MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR. Need dispatcher familiar with areas of HRM
Utilize technology to effectively gather and respond to requests for information for managers, drivers and customers Take ownership and is accountable until a problem is resolved Makes difficult and time sensitive decisions to support business objectives and customer needs Strong time management and problem-solving skills Be a supervisor to call takers during shift. Partner with drivers to assist with customers. Perform other duties as required to support the overall team Education and experience
Ability to listen and respond to customer inquiries
Willingness to learn computer program and taxi business.
2-3 years customer service experience required
Dispatch experience and overnight shift experience an asset
Knowledge of HRM areas and communities required
Ability to work well within a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, excellent computer skills, attention to detail and effective time management
