What you'll do
Reporting into the Capabilities Manager, the Capability Analyst will work to support the FGL Merchandising Department. They will do this by supporting the build and delivery of new or enhanced Capabilities, for the FGL Merchandising Department. This includes the participation in capability development projects and may require some building of supporting documents, methods, and programs for the FGL Merchandising Department.
This person’s key responsibilities will be to support and participate in workshops and meetings that identify opportunities to improve processes and tools. Create slides and presentation decks, as well as present content to larger audiences. They will be required to lead large groups or 1:1 in-person, virtual or hybrid information sessions regarding process work, to/for the FGL Merchandising Team members or Cross-functional Teams – topics cover: core concepts, process changes, tools, procedures, and policies. They will need to deliver the necessary information to the FGL Merchandising Dept (or applicable parties) to support both small-scale change and changes driven through larger initiatives. Key projects can include accountability changes, new business processes and technology and/or tool rollouts. They will need to obtain and maintain Subject Matter Expertise level knowledge required to provide coaching and guidance to individuals within the FGL Merchandising Department and provide meaningful insights to drive projects towards a successful outcome.

Strong oral, presentation & written communications skills

Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365 with an advanced ability in Word, Power Point, Visio, Sharepoint, and Planner

Demonstrated attention to detail, a readiness to work with others, and empathy for individuals learning complex activities

Experience planning, coordinating, and driving projects, including facilitating and planning sessions

Experience with Process and Tool Development is an asset

1+ years of experience in retail or merchandising, is an asset

An understanding of how business requirements are met through capabilities

Experience executing SIPOC+ analyses would be considered an asset

Lean 6 Sigma methodology training would be considered an asset
