We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our team in our Whitehorse, YT office. Reporting to the Mechanical General Manager, the Mechanical Project Coordinator provides administrative support and assists the operations team to ensure projects are completed per project plan. We’re looking for a team player who’s a quick learner able to multi-task and pivot when necessary. This is a great opportunity for a current junior project coordinator/project administrator, a newly graduated mechanical engineer with co-op experience or a tradesperson looking for a new challenge in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Project Start Up: master filing system; assist with the set-up of project billings and the cost accounting system; create and maintain the project directory.
Support contract management process through the tendering and awarding of work or supply materials; assistance with the review and processing of invoices and progress claims, and assistance with the review of documents and inquiries.
Assist with mechanical material take-offs, procurement of materials and equipment, RFI process, general administrative and record keeping functions, the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, and review and distribution of drawings.
Project Close Out: prepare warranty package and requirements, collect warranty and O&M Manuals, create turnover documents, assist in demobilizing the site, and archive documentation.

Requirements:
Great communicator confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form.
1 year experience in the construction industry with knowledge of project set up, subcontract management, change orders, RFIs, lien holdback, closeout.
Previous mechanical experience an asset.
Estimating experience would be an asset.
Plumbing/Pipefitting Journeyperson Certificate, P.Eng., EIT designation in mechanical engineering or equivalent education and experience, or trade designation and experience.
Experience with Procore, Salus, Laborchart would be an asset.
