Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and operate various machining tools. This role is essential for producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications and contribute to our manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, and other manual machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances.
- Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in machining processes.
- Fabricate parts according to design specifications, ensuring high quality and precision.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Qualifications
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with welding techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with Solid Works or similar CAD software for design purposes.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely is desirable.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls for CNC machinery is advantageous.
- Strong experience with hand tools used in machining tasks.
- Proven ability to fabricate components as per specifications.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills, with a keen eye for detail in machining work.
- Previous experience in machining or related fields is preferred.
