Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic kitchen staff. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation and food service. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food handling and preparation
- Support cooks in various kitchen tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Help with inventory management by tracking food supplies and reporting shortages
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during peak hours
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and safety
Requirements
- Must live in or near Margaree, NS.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking techniques
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
