Winmar Yellowknife is looking for Journeyperson Carpenters to join our team! We are a growing construction company in Yellowknife, NT. We are seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude, who can work well in a team environment, and is willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
Pay: $30.75-$45.46 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Winmar Yellowknife is looking for Journeyperson Carpenters to join our team! We are a growing construction company in Yellowknife, NT. We are seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude, who can work well in a team environment, and is willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and install wood and steel structures according to specifications
- Perform all tasks with attention to detail
- Ensure all work areas are tidy and neat
- Inspect work area before and after work is completed
- Create and submit daily work orders for all orders
- Follow all safety regulations
- Locate and remove any obstructions on the job site
- Prepare tools for use on the job site
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- 4 years of experience in a similar position (preferred)
- Knowledge of construction materials (preferred)
- Knowledge of use of power tools (preferred)
- Familiar with general building materials (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check test and drug screening with no known violations of legal or illegal substances. We are not hiring until we have met your requirements regarding these items. Please let us know if you need to bring in your legal documents. We will provide you with the necessary training.
Pay: $30.75-$45.46 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Overtime pay

- Paid time off
- French not required
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Yellowknife, NT X1A 3T4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
- English (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
