Heavy Equipment Operator We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, loading, and material handling. You will play a critical role in our construction and/or industrial projects, ensuring efficient and safe operation of heavy equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, or backhoes, in a safe and efficient manner according to project requirements.
Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Safely and effectively operate controls to excavate, grade, level, and move earth, rock, rubble, or other materials as required.
Follow project plans, blueprints, or verbal instructions to accurately complete tasks, including excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling.
Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, production, and maintenance activities.
Comply with environmental regulations and standards during all operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification.
Must have 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, or backhoes
Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical strength and stamina to work in outdoor environments and withstand long hours of operating heavy equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
