Job Summary and Requirements The CMHA Generalist Counselor is responsible for delivering individual and or group counselling and supports to participants. The Generalist Counselor provides accurate and timely information, performs initial assessment, identifies and develops plans to overcome barriers, makes appropriate referrals and ensures service linkages with mental health and addictions supports. This position requires weekend hours. Essential Qualifications

Minimum of a master’s degree, or equivalent in psychology, counselling or related discipline.
Minimum of two years experience in a counselling, case management or other clinical role.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Demonstrates competence in cultural safety and works effectively with individuals with various cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrates knowledge and experience working with First Nations individuals.
Certification or qualifying status with a counseling regulatory body.
Excellent computer skills (in particular all MSOffice programs).
