Job Summary: The Food and Beverage Front of House Manager at Mill River Resort is responsible for managing the front-of-house operations of the resort's dining venues, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient operations. This role involves overseeing the restaurant, bar, and event services while fostering a positive work environment, and delivering a superior dining experience to guests. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations of the front of house, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Develop and implement service standards and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain the quality of service and presentation in all front-of-house areas.
Detail recent successes and challenges at weekly Management Committee meetings.
2. Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, ensuring high levels of competency and customer service.
Develop weekly staff schedules in a timely manner.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
3. Guest Experience:
Ensure exceptional guest service by addressing and resolving customer complaints and feedback promptly.
Implement service improvement initiatives based on guest feedback and industry trends.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, enhancing their overall experience at the resort.
4. Financial Management:
Assist in managing budgets for front-of-house operations, including forecasting, cost control, and revenue enhancement.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial goals.
Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
5. Marketing and Promotions:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute front-of-house promotions, special events, and seasonal menus.
Create and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
6. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including local, provincial, and federal laws.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment for staff and guests.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in front-of-house management.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience with budget management.
Proficiency in restaurant management software systems including POS.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs over short distances.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range of $48,000 - $52,000; based on qualifications.
