The Fire Prevention Training Specialist will be responsible to ensure all employees have the proper training on all the processes, procedures, and expectations to prevent fires. This will include the training of management on the fire prevention expectations to which they must hold their employees accountable.
Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Education Required: Post-Secondary Education
- Years of Experience Required: 3+ years in a manufacturing facility
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and to multitask with a "Can Do" attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper and necessary training is being received by all employees responsible for preventing fires.
- Ensure leaders are effectively trained in employee expectations and on all Operating Instructions that involve tasks required to prevent fires in their work area.
- Perform regular facility and fryer inspections to confirm fire prevention housekeeping and cleaning complies with expectation and address any non-conformances.
- Perform regular interviews or surveys of employees to obtain their concerns for potential fires or their insight on how to further prevent fires.
- Meet with other site Training Specialists regularly to understand concerns at other sites and collaborate on ways to improve training to prevent fires.
