The Sales Team is currently looking for a District Sales Manager for the Eastern Canada. Under the supervision of the Director, Farm Sales Grain, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with current clients. You will participate in the development and implementation of strategies aimed at achieving performance objectives, in addition to being responsible for business development within your territory.
Your ability and understanding of GSI products, your knowledge and experience in the agricultural sector will enable you to master the development of new technologies and propose value to customer.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Achieve targeted sales and market share targets by developing and implementing all aspects of customer coverage and support.
Maintain industry contacts to stay abreast of technical, competitive and other developments of possible value to positively effect GSI’s operations.
Assist customers and GSI with promotional events such as trade shows, open houses and other customer/products events.
Ensure an in-depth knowledge of all GSI products.
Train clients on the features and benefits of the products.
Collaborate with other regional directors, management, customer services representatives and other functions.
Manage and coordinate needs to achieve business and financial objectives.
Develop and implement performance tracking tools.
Ensure a high standard of quality in the services offered to clients.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Education
Technical education in agriculture, agronomy, sales or another related field; or a combined experience related to the position
Qualifications and experience
Three (3) years of experience in sales
One (1) year of experience in sales relating to grain storage
Knowledge of agricultural sector
Knowledge of agricultural technologies

Please note that this position is classified virtual and work mainly from home or on the road to meet GSI dealers across Eastern Canada. By interim, the candidate will also need to cover a part of the Western Canada territory.
