Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team. The Construction Laborer will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks on job sites. The ideal candidate should have experience in tasks such as, reading schematics, construction estimating, operating power tools, and blueprint reading.
Duties:
- Assist in various construction tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Read and interpret construction schematics.
- Assist in estimating materials and labor costs for projects.
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and understand blueprints to execute tasks effectively.
Experience:
- Prior experience in construction or related field is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions closely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.

(a) Installation: Installing and replacing overhead doors, openers, and related
components such as springs, cables, tracks, and rollers. Installing and
replacing dock levellers, including hydraulic, air-powered, and mechanical
systems.
(b) Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on doors and openers,
including lubrication, tightening hardware, and adjusting tracks and
springs, and routine maintenance on dock levelers, including lubrication,
tightening hardware, and adjusting components to ensure safe and
efficient operation.
(c) Repairs: Troubleshooting and repairing problems with doors and openers,
such as broken springs, cables, or sensors, and dock levelers, such as
broken or worn-out components, electrical issues, and hydraulic leaks.
(d) Customer service: Communicating with customers to understand their
needs and concerns and providing advice and recommendations for
repairs or replacements.
(e) Safety compliance: Ensuring that doors, openers, and dock levellers meet
safety standards and regulations, and educating customers on safe
operation.
(f) Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, installations, and
maintenance activities, and providing reports to management as needed.
