Community Host – Welcome Ambassador
Job Type: Part-Time (flexible hours as needed)

We understand the challenges of moving to a new country, and our mission is to make that transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and organized individual to join our team as a Community Host in Fogo Island, NL. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for new arrivals, offering them a warm welcome and helping them settle into their new environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Airport Pickup: Greet new arrivals at the airport with a warm smile and assist with their luggage.
• Transportation: Safely transport them to their accommodations, providing a pleasant and informative journey.
• Accommodations Overview: Show them around their new home, ensuring they are comfortable and familiar with the space.
• Groceries Setup: Ensure basic groceries are stocked in their accommodations.
• Community Tour: Provide a guided tour of the local community, highlighting key locations such as supermarkets, public transportation, parks, and cultural spots.
• Basic Services Setup: Assist with setting up essential services like obtaining their MCP, SIN, drivers licence, banking, and mobile phones, ensuring a smooth transition to their new life.
• Ongoing Support: Be available to answer any questions and provide support as they settle into their new environment.

Qualifications:

• Excellent Communication Skills: Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Strong Interpersonal Skills: Warm, friendly, and patient with a genuine desire to help others.
• Organized & Reliable: Able to manage time effectively and coordinate multiple tasks
• Cultural Awareness: Knowledgeable about local customs and able to provide cultural guidance.
• Valid Driver’s License: Required for transportation duties.
• Clear Drivers Abstract
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
