About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Assistive Technology, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team the Certified Orthotist provides a diverse range of clinical interventions to a pediatric and adult population. Essential components of this position include a high degree of expertise in decision-making, creativity, interpersonal skills and professional development. The Certified Orthotist provides clinical leadership particularly in complex cases and has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence informed care. The dynamic environment requires the Certified Orthotist to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other health care professionals to solve challenging clinical issues. The Certified Orthotist supports the development of students and colleagues through acting as a preceptor and providing ongoing mentorship. The Certified Orthotist will attend clinics, rounds, conference and meetings as required and provide supervision and evaluation of students and/or technicians.
The Orthotist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio within a seven day service.
Compensation and Incentives
$40.15 - $44.23 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
