We are looking to add outgoing and responsible candidates to join our growing team, and to help build our locally operated business.
The right candidate(s) would be a hard working individual(s) who enjoys teamwork, provides excellent customer service, has a Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers and willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base. On the job training is available for the right candidate(s).
Experience: 7 months - 1 year
Education: Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent

Pay: From $16.77 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Job duties would include but are not limited to:
- Greet customers
- Establish or identify price of goods, services or admission and tabulate total payment required using electronic or other cash register, optical price scanner or other equipment.
- Receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit.
- Wrap or place merchandise in bags
- Provide information to customers
- Calculate foreign currency exchange
- Calculate total payments received at end of work shift and reconcile with total sales
- May also stock shelves and clean check-out counter area.
- Follow procedures and maintain standards according to store policy in the following areas: loss prevention, receiving and pricing goods, merchandise handling and presentation, housekeeping, reordering merchandise, restocking shelves and handling cash.
- Change prices on merchandise, bins, displays, etc. as necessary.
- Determine customer’s needs by asking open-ended questions.
- Build special displays and signage for sales, promotions and other special events.
- Work on special projects as assigned by department manager.
