Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in carpentry and construction. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. Duties
- Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Engage in tile laying and installation tasks as directed.
- Participate in construction painting and caulking activities to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
- Help with measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics and blueprints for project execution.
- Utilize hand tools effectively while maintaining safety protocols on the job site.
- Support the team in construction estimating by assisting with material calculations and project assessments.
Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
- Basic knowledge of tile laying techniques and installation processes.
- Familiarity with construction painting methods and caulking applications.
- Understanding of plumb techniques for ensuring structural integrity.
- Capability to assist in construction estimating tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in assembling components as per project requirements.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Experience using hand tools safely and efficiently.
