We are currently seeking an individual to join our GCB team as baker!
Duties:
Operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment and facilities to uphold hygiene and safety standards
Prepare dough for a variety of baked goods, including pies, rolls, bread, cookies, and cakes, by following appropriate recipes
Maintain the bakery department according to company protocols, ensuring organization and cleanliness
Adhere to company policies and enforce OH&S safety procedures diligently
Proficiently operate multi-function process control machinery for efficient production
Flexibility to undertake additional tasks as needed periodically
Demonstrate creativity and a willingness to learn new techniques in baking
Adaptability to work shifts as required, displaying flexibility in scheduling
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements:
Previous bakery experience and/or knowledge and understanding of bakery products
Passion for working in a team setting
Must have good working knowledge of food quality, hygiene and sanitation, kitchen safety and food presentation
Use of commercial kitchen equipment, sanitation, and safety practices
Environment:
Must have the ability to regularly walk or stand for extended periods of time
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40-50 lbs.
Involves frequent repetitive hand actions
Required to reach above shoulder height and below waist level
