As Assistant Plant Manager, you will be the owner of the Production Function. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Train, supervise and work directly with the team to manufacture engineered floor & roof systems.
Ensure company’s safety policies and procedures are being adhered to
Be accountable for meeting production volume and efficiency metrics
Initiate and lead change that produces better business results (Safety, Efficiency, Cost Reduction, Quality Etc)
Ensure all production equipment is being properly maintained
Manage employee performance, identify training opportunities and develop talent to align with future business requirements
Quality assurance to ensure internal and external product standards are being met
An ideal candidate will possess many of the following skills or experiences:
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Post secondary education
Microsoft Suite knowledge
Basic understanding of residential and commercial construction
Strong attention to detail
Effective problem solving and time management skills
Drive to optimize and improve processes
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
A valid driver’s license
Forklift training & experience
First Aid Training
Experience using data to solve problems or make informed decisions
Leadership and supervisory skills
