Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Technician or Installer to join our team. As an apprentice or installer you will be responsible for assisting the Licensed Technician and performing minor maintenance and tire work as required. They are focused on being an excellent team member, learning and preparing for completion of their blocks and assisting with maintaining an orderly operation in the Service Department. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Duties:
- Install automotive equipment and accessories according to specifications
- Conducts routine service on vehicles and completing repairs on customer vehicles; (Oil change, tire change, rust proofing service, filter change ...)
- Complies with quality control and inspection requirements of the Service Department;
- Maintains communication with Service Consultants and Parts Department;
- Accurately documents repairs performed on completed customer service orders;
- Identifies and proactively brings all recommended or needed repair / maintenance items to prompt attention of Service Advisor and / or Department Manager; Documents vehicle problems that were noted during servicing;
- Endeavors to promote harmony and a team spirit with all other departments;
Experience:
- Valid Driver's license and good driving record
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 44 per week
