Job Summary JVD Installations Inc. is currently seeking 3rd and 4th Year Apprentice Pipefitters for our project in Norman Wells, NWT. The successful candidates will assist the journeyperson with joining pipe sections and securing them into position by welding, brazing, or soldering in an industrial construction environment. Responsibilities
General understanding of ISO-metric drawings.
Work with other trades to complete job scopes.
Demonstrates knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
Assists with assembling and installing piping sections by blueprints and job specifications.
Performs physically demanding tasks such as cutting pipe openings while standing for extended periods and securing pipes in hard-to-reach areas.
Perform bolt-up and impacting on large bore piping and pumps.
Assist with rigging tasks, and shows a general understanding of lift points and how to identify them.
May perform other related duties as assigned.

Successful candidates are required to have a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time.
Must be able to perform duties at heights.
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
Must be able to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
Trade Certification Requirements
Active Pipefitter Apprenticeship with a recognized provincial training authority.
