Description
MDS Coating is looking for a Technician in our Fabrication group to support our growth in our Slemon Park, PE facility. The fabrication group is responsible for additive manufacturing of tools and fixtures for our manufacturing environment, and job shop services for other departments.
Our technicians are working with the leading edge of additive equipment, printing complex parts in both metal and plastic. They are working to fill orders placed by our design team for holding and masking tooling for our processes. The work involves:

• Post-processing and quality control of additively manufactured parts and tooling assemblies including using hand tools and blasting cabinets
• Setup, loading and monitoring of 3D printers
• Continuous improvement of processes in additive manufacturing, fabrication, and tooling assembly and control
• Support for other groups that require tooling assembly and/or repair, machine shop or 3D scanning services

What we are looking for

• Have an eye for detail, ensuring products printed meet drawings (training provided)
• Ability to work well with others and be a team player in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Consistent attendance, punctuality, and dependability in completing tasks
• Familiarity with computer programs used in manufacturing such as Microsoft Office
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate tools and machinery effectively
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of work, issues, and processes
• Understanding and adherence to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• CAD/CAM software familiarity is an asset
• Manufacturing experience, with CNC or manual machining, an asset

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
