The Marketing / Events intern supports and works in close collaboration with the marketing team on projects directed at maximising company visibility and developing sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and company and/or product-related communications and events.
Congress & event organisation:
Support in calendar management of upcoming congresses, dates, and participation deadlines, ensuring i STAR Medical books their attendance and meets all deadlines
Assist and help in the planning of i STAR Medical participation at congresses, events and physician meetings
Assist in the management of congress & event budget, create purchase orders
Sourcing different vendors (catering, booth suppliers, printers, restaurants, hotels, etc.) to achieve the best combination of quality, cost and on-time delivery
Assist the marketing team to help design and produce the booth and associated materials and posters and ensure delivery and setup on time
Help manage all event operations and logistics (prepare & book venues, schedule speakers, book meeting rooms/hotels/travel/restaurants/catering, organise badges, organise audio visual device availability, ship all materials, etc.)
Marketing:
Assist the Marketing Team in creating marketing collaterals, such as e-blasts, ads, brochures, invitations, flyers, presentations, etc. including internal approval process request
Help on updating website when necessary (Events and careers page)
Prepare PR on Mailchimp and website
Prepare news post on website
Sales support (maintain and update materials stock on the sales catalogue, order sales materials)
General Administration:
Create purchase orders
Create shipments
Booking transport and / or accommodation for internal meetings
Profile:
As the successful candidate, you have the following profile:
Education:
Student in Marketing, Communication, Events
Languages:
Fluent in English & French (any other language would be an asset)
Professional Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Personal Skills:
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and self-discipline to organise multiple projects and time effectively and autonomously on a daily and weekly basis. Able to multi-task and prioritise
