Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is INGs internal audit department. It is a global, international department which approximately 400 auditors in 20 countries. The purpose of CAS is “helping ING to keep getting better” by performing internal audits in different domains and providing recommendations for improvement.
CAS is one of the few departments where you will get a global view of the ING organisation, while at the same time, by performing audits, you have the opportunity to do deep dives in different topics. An audit takes about 8 to 10 weeks.
We are looking for candidates that are interested to gain experience in the “third line of defence” within the bank. We have an open intern position within the CAS team Wholesale Banking in Belgium. This is an experienced team, responsible for auditing both Business Banking and Wholesale Banking activities.

Your key responsibilities
You will plan and perform operational audits in the Wholesale and Business Banking domains in Belgium.
During an audit, you will get a good understanding of the business activities, the risks, control frameworks and regulatory requirements. You will have interviews, perform walkthroughs and use data analytics to assess the key risks of the processes. You will interact with senior business management to discuss the risks identified and possible mitigating actions. You will document your observations in an audit report, including recommendations that will help the organisation to further improve. After the audit, you will follow-up that recommendations are adequately implemented.
You will have the opportunity to develop your data analytics expertise. Data play a key role in the ING business and operational model. Data extraction and analytics are important in the audit process. You will be trained in data analytics by our global and local CAS experts and use dedicated tools to explore the fascinating world of data. In this role you will increase your data analytics knowledge and expertise which will be an important asset in your further career.
