We are looking for an Industrial Lead Drug Product who is strategic, experienced in drug product development and manufacturing, and skilled in project management and stakeholder management, to join our Drug Product and Finished Good Industrial Program team at UCB.
About the Role
In this global role, the Industrial Lead Drug Product will bring a strategic vision and leadership in the industrialization of our late-stage development and commercial products (NBE and NCE). You will develop cutting-edge industrialization strategies, manage a portfolio of strategic manufacturing projects/programs. You will also act as a Product Subject Mater Expert (steward) within UCB’s community, driving key activities related to drug product manufacturing and coordinating transversal efforts across departments and ensure submission preparation and approval all over the world.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate with late-stage development groups, ensuring alignment between product development strategies and industrialization capabilities. As the product SME, you will work cross-functionally, interacting with manufacturing teams, regulatory groups, and external partners to ensure product sustainability and lifecycle management. You will also manage strategic manufacturing projects and guide decision-making within the sourcing and supply governance frameworks.
What You Will Do
Develop Manufacturing Industrial Strategic Supply Plans (ISSP) for products throughout their lifecycle.
Build and maintain a portfolio of strategic projects related to industrialization and manufacturing.
Establish long-term capacity and capability plans at the portfolio level.
Act as a Product SME, ensuring alignment between product development and manufacturing strategies.
Ensure launch readiness and effective lifecycle management for late-stage development and commercial products.
Oversee the industrial project portfolio related to product launch, lifecycle management, and process optimizations.
Evaluate technical, regulatory, and financial feasibility of line extensions and manufacturing changes.
Centralize knowledge on commercial manufacturing processes and represent industrial interests in various governance bodies.
Lead efforts in process improvements, environmental impact assessments, and cross-functional projects.

Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with expertise in drug product manufacturing, development, and industrialization (sterile and solid forms).
Direct experience in commercial manufacturing and familiarity with state-of-the-art drug product manufacturing processes.
Strong experience in project management and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise in the registration and approval processes in EU, US, China, and Japan.
Skilled in c GMP quality and regulatory requirements for drug product manufacturing.
Knowledge of financial processes, particularly related to cost of goods (Co Gs) and investment decision-making.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with fluency in English.
Ability to manage complex projects, balancing multiple priorities and driving results across functional teams.
Experience in assessing manufacturing capacities and implementing long-term industrial strategies.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on stakeholder management and collaboration across diverse teams.
