Job Description
- You are responsible for the implementation, responsibility and monitoring of negotiations with suppliers.
- You also negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Your tasks will include building and maintaining close relationships with farmers, growers and suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of high-quality products.
- You are responsible for planning the required production quantities at international level.
- You monitor market conditions and set purchase prices while monitoring weather forecasts to identify potential supply shortages.
- You understand agricultural practices, product quality standards and market trends to make informed decisions.
Qualifications
- You have a commercial education, ideally a university degree in economics or business administration and at least 3-5 years of professional experience in category management.
- You have good IT skills (MS Office, knowledge of merchandise management systems and databases).
- Good command of English and basic knowledge of German are required.
- High analytical and organizational skills as well as a careful and precise way of working complete your profile.
- You also have assertiveness, negotiating skills and the ability to solve problems and manage conflicts.
