Job Description
Type: Part-Time (3 days per week or flexible hours across 4-5 days; hybrid work available)
About the Role:
As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the heart of our volunteer program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining an organized volunteer database to streamline daily operations and events.
- Sourcing, interviewing, and managing background screening checks for potential volunteers.
- Inducting and training volunteers through engaging orientation and ongoing development programs.
- Managing volunteer records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Serving as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to promote volunteer opportunities and create engaging promotional materials for external events.

Skills and Experience:
While experience in volunteer coordination is preferred, we welcome passionate candidates eager to learn! You will bring:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written abilities to connect with a diverse range of individuals.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: The capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: A knack for building relationships with various stakeholders, including volunteers and staff.
- Proactivity: A self-driven attitude and a passion for volunteerism that inspires others.
- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Licenses: A current driver's license and access to a car, as well as a willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC).
