Trainee Community Workers (Aged Care) - Canberra (start in 2025)

Permanent part-time roles
Flexible days/hours, as long as your availability is between 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
If you don't have experience, we can offer you on-the-job training
Minimum 15 hours a week, and work up to 30+ hours a week
Excellent incentives and working conditions
The hourly rate starts from $24.65+ per hour (part-time)
Must have a reliable vehicle, with an ACT driver's licence.
Are you caring, supportive, reliable, a person, and have a great attitude? Do you have a reliable car, a current ACT driver's licence, and are fully COVID-19 vaccinated? Our client, a well-established home and community care organisation is seeking new team members to join their local team in the local region. No experience is required, we will train you in Certificate III in Individual Support, and you will be paid to attend buddy shifts, regular shifts, and training days. Full on-the-job training provided. We are expanding this team, to deal with the increase in new clients requiring services, with the expansion of community services. Whilst you start your career as a Community Support Worker, you can complete socialisation and domestic tasks, and as you progress you will receive training in additional services, such as personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting), respite, catheter care, and much more! What we are seeking:
Have a great attitude
Be reliable
Willingness to learn and work
Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will get this for you)
Ability to pass and recevie a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC)
Have a current ACT driver's licence
Have a reliable, registered vehicle, with full comprehensive insurance; and
Have regular availability
Be an AU or NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access State Funding for the course/program.
Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 8:00am to 4:00pm. You will be visiting (clients - aged care) in their homes and supporting them with services, which may include:
Domestic Assistance
Shopping
Meal Preparation
Transportation
To & from Medical Appointments
Social Activities
Respite
