What We're Looking For:
Do you have prior experience as a racing official, or knowledge of betting markets? A passion for upholding the welfare of animals? This role will provide you to work within a dynamic and progressive racing environment, offering you the chance to work alongside a passionate and dedicated team. We're seeking individuals with strong communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse population. The ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to balance compliance and educational responsibilities effectively. Key Requirements: This role is focused on ensuring that racing meetings are conducted fairly and to facilitate the safety and welfare of greyhounds. Your role involves various tasks such as identifying greyhounds, conducting kennel checks, and swabbing checks.
Some previous experience as a racing official, relevant regulatory experience or knowledge of betting markets is highly advantageous
In depth knowledge of rules, regulations, and operational guidelines, such as Greyhound Racing Act
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hold a valid driver licence
Be willing to travel and work during evenings, weekends and public holidays under shift provisions.
