Casual/Part time/Full time with hours to be negotiated We operate a purpose-built overnight sleep laboratory at Respiratory and Sleep Centre in Macarthur Region . We have an exciting opportunity for self-motivated and organized individual to join our professional and friendly team. It is essential for the Sleep Technologist to work evening and overnight shifts. The Sleep Technologist will be responsible for providing high quality clinical service within the sleep laboratory for patients with sleep disorders. Desirable Skills -
Demonstrated work experience as a Sleep Technician or CPAP Therapist would be desirable.
Experience with laboratory-based sleep studies for Diagnostic and Titration of CPAP /Bi-level PAP would be highly regarded.
Perform CPAP mask fitting on patients doing overnight CPAP studies.
Experience in establishing and maintaining gold standard quality recordings (AASM).
Ability to be flexible with work days and hours.
Ability to comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
Experience in ability to perform routine equipment care and maintenance, and inventory evaluation.
Demonstrated strong customer service, consultancy skill and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to follow HIPAA policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information.
Experience with Medical/Sleep software programs (Noxturnal would be highly regarded).
Possession of First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification.
Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain
Experience with sleep study analysis (PSG scoring), preparation of reports and participation in a recognized concordance program ( added value)
Conducting day studies MSLT/MWT (added value)
Duties -
Setup and calibration of sleep equipment
Recording of physiological variables during sleep
Implementation and titration of therapy
Cleaning of equipment
Liaise and communicate with other team members.
Additional duties as directed by the practice manager which may include analysis of sleep studies and preparation of reports as appropriate for the skill level of the applicant.
