The Showroom Representative at Steelcase is a key role responsible for engaging customers and consumers who visit our Sydney Showroom, with a focus on leveraging e-commerce strategies to enhance customer engagement.
This position involves creating exceptional experiences for showroom visitors, promoting e-commerce offerings, and actively engaging with consumers to drive sales and foster brand loyalty.
The Showroom Representative plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless and personalized shopping experience that aligns with our e-commerce objectives.
The day-to-day nature of this role involves attending to retail customers in the showroom, answering the phones, communication with warehouse teams for order updates and fulfillments, quoting orders for customers and various adhoc order fulfillment related tasks.
Task Profile
Provide product briefing and demo assistance to customers and assist customers with selection of products.
Develop strong commercial relationships with customers.
Using our in-house systems to provide customer updates
Handling incoming calls, transfer, records messages, forward to individual to follow up.
Handling booking for showroom visit, walks in and provide product demo. Specifically: “Task Seating Products available in Australia and online store products.
Work closely with showroom space to avoid overcrowded or unplanned walks-in, customers and staff member in the worklife.
Work closely with Third Party warehouse team to fulfill orders, get updates and make changes
Maintaining showroom facilities and administrations
Assist in small scale B2B customers
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
Working close with customers to provide an after-sales service experience (quoting, invoicing and organizing delivery)
kn Skills & Abilities
Dynamic and energetic individual, who easily engage with clients and understand the importance of building relationships.
The ideal candidate will have the drive and passion to deliver quality results along with the enthusiasm.
Have at least 2 years experience in customer service and/or high turnover sales environment (furniture experience will be highly regarded)
Have a genuine interest in interior design or furniture design
Demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Confident and comfortable in making autonomous decisions when required
Possess intermediate computer skills: use of Microsoft and retail point of sale essential.
Strong phone presence
Ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions with for themselves.
Prior experience in sales preferred
Working hours
Tuesday - Friday: 10.00AM - 6.00PM
Saturday: 10.00AM - 4.00PM
