About the role: Here’s a fantastic opportunity for a service technician to join Nalco Water, an Ecolab company. We are a global leader in water and process management solutions and work with customers across a wide range of industries to help meet their specific sustainability and business goals. With a presence at more than 100,000 customer sites, our solutions combine connected chemistry, digital innovation and extensive expertise to minimise water and climate impacts while maximising outcomes at an optimised total cost. As a Service Technician - Water Treatment, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal application of chemical treatment programs and maintaining the production throughput of customer systems in South Australia and Northern Territory. Your responsibilities will include equipment maintenance, water sampling, chemical analysis, and utilising digital technology to complete service reports. We are looking for a team player who is committed to delivering high-quality service and building strong client relationships.
This role will require regular travel to customers sites and interstate travel to Northern Territory, with up to 7 nights overnight stay across a monthly period.
Responsibilities:
Perform equipment performance checks, water sampling, and chemical analysis to ensure the effective application of chemical treatment programs.
Conduct as required maintenance and consumable changes in the field on our 3D TRASAR dosing & control equipment
Utilise digital technology and complete service reports accurately and timely.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering value-added and focused service.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of our in-field process and water treatment services for future development opportunities.
Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to creating a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
Ideally you will have:
Experience working in an industrial environment
A trade qualification (electrical, mechanical, plumber) is preferred.
Ability to perform manual work, including technical water testing and physical activities.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve issues efficiently.
Desire to work in the water treatment and process chemical business.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
A valid driver's license.
