Rhodes Full Time Nanny

Start date: Early Nov 2024
Contract - 12+ months long term preferred
Pay: Package of $116k (Ex Super)

An easy going and loving family in Rhodes are seeking a bubbly, kind and nurturing nanny to care for their 2 children ( Aged 21/2 yr old girl and 4 month old baby boy)
The days and normal hours are:- 5 days – 45 hours (hours may vary slightly)
Monday – Friday – 9.00am – 6.00pm
Extra ad-hoc hours on weeknights & weekends as required and able to accompany the family on overseas holidays occasionally
An ideal nanny would be experienced, calm and easy going.
A active nanny who is open to engaging and having fun with the children, spending time outdoors and providing stimulating and creative activities.
A nanny that is reliable, honest and can follow routines. The family are looking for a nanny who takes an interest in the development of the children and someone who will build a lovely bond with the children and become part of a loving family. Someone who has a genuine passion for child care.
Experience with newborns and toddlers is essential for this role along with having cared for 2 or more children of similar age.
The role will consist of mostly caring for the children, take to activities, establish sleep routines, preparation of snacks and meal, keeping play areas tidy, folding laundry, sterilizing bottles and outings to the local parks and cafes.
The family have a dog, that will require walking, so the nanny must be comfortable with pets.
Note: The little girl will be starting preschool on Thurs/Fri from Feb 2025 so the nanny would be spending more time with the baby on these days.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

To care for the children
Follow the children's routine
Play and engage age appropriate creative activities to assist in the children's development
Preparation of meals and snacks
Outdoor play
Sensory play and reading
Light housework such as laundry, shopping/running light errands (when required), light cleaning of play areas, kitchen, dining area, etc

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

3 years experience as a nanny or working in child care
Childcare qualification (preferred)
Newborn and toddler experience
Have a current first aid certificate
Have a current working with children’s check number
Display strong communication skills and speak English
Fit, healthy and active
Able to swim
Cantonese speaking preferred (but not essential)
Non smoking/vaping
Full Drivers Licence required and must be over 25 years of age- car insurance doesn’t cover under 25’s
