An opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Farmgate Shop Assistant/Tour Guide Assistant based on our farm in Deloraine, where you will provide excellent customer service to visitors from all over the world.

Our mission is to share first hand the story of truffles and the industry being established in Australia, with guests from all over the world.
A personality that invites conversation with guests is essential. You will need to be confident in speaking to, and managing, groups of people.

- Hours for this position can vary from season to season. (estimate 10 - 25 hours per week)
- Full training will be provided, with potential for growth into other roles.
- Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, with above award rates. (estimate rate $25/hour - $35/hour)

- Driving licence (essential)
- High School completion (preferred)
- RSA (preferred)
- First aid certificate (desirable)
- Event/tourism/hospitality experience (highly regarded)
- Customer service/retail experience (preferred)
- Must be available weekdays and weekends
- Must be available during peak holiday seasons
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with groups
- Friendly disposition ‘people person’
- Great customer service skills
- Cash handling skills (basic maths required)
- Confident, honest, trustworthy, team player
- Ability to work autonomously
- Tourism experience desirable
- Organised and punctual
- Ability to use smart phone eg: Whats App
- Ability to learn and follow instructions
- Assist customers with sales at Farmgate shop
- Processing customer payments via EFT machine or cash
- Welcome all tour guests upon arrival
- Addressing customer enquiries/complaints
- Ensuring display stock is neat & tidy & clean
- Cleaning the farmgate shop & bathrooms (detailed instructions provided)
- On-the-job training provided
- Pathways to develop other roles may be offered to individuals who possess aptitude
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
