Support the quality team in the coordination of activities necessary to deliver contract requirements for the Alliance. Monitor and maintain the Quality Management System to ensure supplier and internal compliance to the project Quality Management Plan and Quality Management System (QMS). Assist with the development and preparation of quality reports, documents and records.
The Project
The Alkimos Sea Water Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos.
At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
Key accountabilities for the position:
- Assist the project team with the identification and application of relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Assist the project team with implementation of the Quality Management Plan and related systems.
- Assist internal and external audits and assessments, including suppliers and subcontractors.
- Report on the status of Nonconformance and Defects. Report on and expedite actions required to close, including escalation where necessary.
- Verify that subcontractor inspection, test and monitoring equipment (ITME) is calibrated.
- Review and comment of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Procedures, etc. to verify that statutory and project requirements are clearly defined.
- Development of Inspection Assignments for inspection of supplier and subcontractor product and works by 2nd and 3rd party Inspectors, and Alliance personnel where required.
- Review and comment of Inspection Reports, and identification of required actions. Report on actions and expedite to closure, including escalation where necessary.

- 3+ years on similar large, complex projects
- Control of documents and records
- Use of collaboration software such as Team Binder, Aconex or RIB CX.
- Recognised construction industry qualification
- Internal/External Auditor qualification
