The Strategic Placemaking Business Unit has an exciting opportunity in the newly created position of Personal Assistant to the Manager Strategic Placemaking. About The Opportunity Georges River Council is currently seeking a passionate and professional Personal Assistant to support our Manager Strategic Placemaking based out of our Civic Centre. There will also be the requirement to travel to other Council locations from time to time. The main responsibilities for the successful candidate will be to provide a high level of assistance to the Manager Strategic Placemaking, including but not limited to researching issues, preparing draft reports, meeting minutes, diary and meeting management, word processing, and liaison with a wide range of internal staff and external parties on behalf of the Manager Strategic Placemaking.
Temporary full time, till May 2025 - 70 hours per fortnight
Salary from $73,331.53 - $84,965.51 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation

Qualifications, Certificates & Licences
TAFE certificate in secretarial or administration, or equivalent.
Class C Drivers Licence.
Essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to produce written material of a high standard without supervision.
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Demonstrated ability to research and analyse complex issues.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability and experience in dealing with sensitive information.
Demonstrated high-level organisation skills, including ability to set work priorities and meet predetermined deadlines and commitments.
Proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
Strong commitment to delivering quality customer service
Desirable
Tertiary qualification in Public Sector Administration or related field
