Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Demand and Inventory Planner to oversee and enhance our demand planning activities across various SKUs and product categories. This role is critical in achieving high forecasting accuracy and maintaining exceptional customer service levels. Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecast Management: Continuously manage and improve the RØDE Demand Forecast (24 months rolling, weekly/monthly, in both volume and dollar value).
Global Demand Analysis: Monitor and analyse global demand signals from markets such as ANZ, US, UK, EU, and CN, ensuring their integration into the baseline ex-factory forecast.
Risk and Opportunity Identification: Identify and frame demand risks and opportunities, escalating them through the S&OP process to support informed decision-making.
New Product Introductions: Proactively manage NPIs and product lifecycle stages to ensure high forecasting accuracy.
Demand Reviews: Lead and facilitate Demand Reviews with Sales & Marketing teams to generate unbiased Group Demand Forecasts.
Sales vs. Inventory Analysis: Conduct thorough weekly analysis of sales versus inventory, offering recommendations to optimize inventory holdings.
Stakeholder Communication: Deliver weekly updates to key stakeholders regarding major demand variances, Key Accounts’ DIFOT status, and forecasted inventory positions.
SLOB Management: Address issues related to Slow Moving and Obsolete Stock (SLOBs) proactively.
Forecast Model Development: Develop and maintain forecast models using INFOR Demand Planning and Excel, identifying opportunities for enhancement to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Monthly S&OP Preparation: Assist the Planning Manager in preparing for Monthly S&OP Meetings, providing updates on forecasted vs. actual sales and inventory.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
Skills:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management is essential.
