As a Kitchen Attendant of the Hotel kitchen, you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen and kitchen equipment is clean and presentable. You will assist Kitchen and Front of House employees with the smooth day-to-day operations in a Kitchen, implementing a strong service focus and ensuring that efficient standards and practices are employed. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
General cleaning duties within a kitchen or food preparation area or scullery, including cleaning cooking and general utensils used in a kitchen or restaurant
Assisting employees who are cooking
Assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking
General pantry duties
Assisting other Kitchen employees with stock receival
Maintain a safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Assist floor staff with running food orders to tables
Other tasks as directed
Required Skills, Experience and Attributes:
Min 2 years’ experience advantageous in a similar role
Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or equivalent experience
Food safety training
Excellent communications skills within a diverse team
Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods, ability to prep ahead
Experience in maintaining food safety program including documentation
Monitoring and supervising WHS standards and procedures
Ability to work within a team and autonomously
Excellent attention to detail
Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
Driver's License
