Job Purpose An exciting opportunity for an experienced Airfreight Operator to join our growing team! This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations for key clients, from bookings, processing shipments, liaising with transport through to invoicing and reporting. Key Accountabilities
Follow Import & Export SOP, KPI requirements
Book and manage all shipments for our clients with appointed service providers
Maintain and update records of all shipments and provide activity reporting and key dates to client
Continuously update and manage system information for shared visibility of shipment and customer information.
Work closely with our Procurement team to ensure that best rates are obtained for use by the client and meet requirements
Complete Freight bookings for all shipments and approval of documents
Prepare AWB for Export
Input and update all booking and shipment details into DP Worlds system and manage any amendments
Arrange and monitor customs clearance and other regulatory releases
Understand job costs and approve supplier invoices
Consolidate all costs and finalise shipment invoicing
Identify opportunities for system integration to remove manual data entry
Manage the creation of required import documentation for the client
Manage any routing amendments, Change of Delivery, Splitting Bill of Lading
Qualifications, Skills and Experience The successful candidate will possess the following:
5 Years minimum experience in Export or Import Air operations
1-2 years in customer facing roles
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Experience managing customer shipments – Export Air
Demonstrated ability to work and solution issues independently
Cargowise (Wise-Tech) experience and knowledge advantageous.
Efficiency in day-to-day operations, with a specific focus on task driven milestones and deadlines
Knowledge of the Airfreight logistics value chain
