GLAZIER -GLASS & ALUMINIUM FABRICATORS/INSTALLERS
DABSCO is Darwin's leading manufacturer of home improvement products. We supply and install security screens, glass doors and windows, window coverings, external awnings, shower screens. We are currently recruiting experienced Glaziers to join the team immediately in Darwin.
The majority of tasks are:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
The majority of tasks are:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine size, shape, colour, type, and thickness of glass
- Glass to be laid on padded tables, to get ready for cutting
- Measuring and marking glass for cutting based on the specification
- Checking the glass if there are any defective areas, and mark by the glass marker.
- Cutting glass according to the drawings and specifications
- If there is a template for special shape of the glass, then cut along the templates, and break off
- sheets and excess glass with notched tools and glass pliers
- Using belt sanders and smoothing wheels to smooth rough edges
- Qualification or background in glass processing is preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant glazing experience is required
- Possible overtime and weekend work
- Demand for high quality standards
- The successful applicant must be able to work independently and as a member in a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime pay
- Australia (Preferred)
