Who are we seeking You are an experienced manager with a strong background in retail or the fuel station industry. You are a person who enjoys motivating and inspiring others, with a passion for high level customer service and personalising the shopping experience. It is essential that you are available to work across store trading hours, including weekends if required. This role will also require you to undertake merchandising and rotation of stock, therefore you must be physically capable and be aware at times you will be on your feet for long periods of time. You are proactive at solving day-to-day problems and your communication skills allow you to liaise with clients, suppliers and fellow team members. As the manager of the service station, you and your team should be exceeding monthly sales targets, fluidly managing inventory and labour, and keeping up with the latest trends in merchandising and promotions. Responsibilities To manage an efficient operation and lead team
Overseeing all daily operations of a busy fuel business
Implement and manage operational systems and processes
Merchandising, marketing and stock management
Staff recruitment, training, mentoring and motivation
Volume cash handling and reconciliations
Food management supervision
Hygiene & presentation standards are met and exceeded
Meeting assigned budgets and KPIs
Stakeholders Continue to maintain a high level of positive interaction with our clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
The main contact for the business
Implement and manage operational systems and processes
Train team to liaise with clients/customers to ensure a high level of customer service
Met monthly with Directors to discuss budgets and operational issues
Team Be the leader that ensures strong team culture, keeping team motivated, skilled and ensuring they are aligned to the business values.
Manage the administrative elements of the business
Set budgets and goals for the team and keep team members accountable on delivering targets and meeting key performance measures
Use the existing Standard Operating Procedures support the team growth via structured training
Financial and Administration Monitor financial performance of the business with the Directors, ensuring ongoing profitability and expansion.
Manage and monitor sales targets and budgets of the business
Manage, monitor and analyse Cost of Goods and GP and margins
Using the backend reporting system, identify savings and revenue opportunities within the business
Compliance and Safety requirements
Ensure compliancy of food regulations & safety standards
Conduct regular audits of checklists to identify potential issues
Ensure team are trained and compliant with food and safety requirements
You will have
Proven experience in a Retail Manager role, preferably within the Fuel Station industry
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good administration and financial management skills.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with safety compliance.
