Primary Purpose:
  • Plan, coordinate and lead the ongoing development and maintenance of incident management capability, including undertaking capability needs analysis with reference to the organisation's Capability Management Framework, as well as community risk profiles and incident / emergency responses.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders in development, coordination and maintenance of the Capability, including relevant doctrine, risk management, safety standards, training and skills maintenance, facilities/equipment and systems, and other capability inputs.
  • Lead and coordinate the Lessons Management capability within SASES to meet the agency's goal to be a learning organisation.
  • Undertake development and regular review of curriculum and training resources, including research, collaboration with subject matter experts and a Capability Reference Group, to ensure currency, quality and alignment with ASQA standards, relevant legislation, organisational policies and procedures and industry developments.
  • Manage content relevant to the Capability and communicate with members via the volunteer portal and other channels.
  • Provide direction in the ongoing development and maintenance of incident management skills across the agency, including development and rollout of targeted training for all incident coordination centre and incident management team roles.
  • Build and maintain trainer/assessor (volunteer and staff) capacity within each Capability area across the organisation through training, mentoring and professional development.
  • Undertake/ coordinate projects related to the Capability as required, including scoping, developing project plans, monitoring and delivery.
  • Manage Capability Coordinators, providing leadership, support and oversight of capability development and budgets.
  • Represent the SASES at National, State, sector-wide and internal strategic committee level.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current credentials)
Remuneration:
ASO6
$98,478 - $104,165
