The Opportunity:
Opulence College is expanding, and we invite you to join our vibrant community as a part-time Trainer & Assessor. Working alongside a dynamic team of proactive individuals and lifelong learners, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the best education, training, and student support services to our international students, fostering both personal and professional development among all staff.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Trainer & Assessor to lead and facilitate our Commercial Cookery class (SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, CRICOS course code: 112924B). As the Trainer & Assessor for Commercial Cookery, you will play a key role in shaping the culinary skills and careers of our students. This is an exciting onsite position, based at Opulence College's Canberra Campus, and the potential to transition into a permanent full-time role.
Responsibilities:
  • Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions in Commercial Cookery, adhering to the course curriculum and learning outcomes.
  • Conducting assessments and providing constructive feedback to students to monitor their progress and skill development.
  • Maintaining accurate records of students' performance and achievements.
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and practices to enhance the course content and ensure relevance.
  • Collaborating with the educational team to continuously improve the course and training materials.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of our vocational education programs.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Trainer & Assessor in Commercial Cookery or vocational education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of the SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery course content and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about fostering students' growth and success in the culinary arts.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
