Architectural Draftsperson

Job duties and responsibilities
· Creating detailed architectural drawings and plans for residential projects using software such as Autodesk, Revit, Auto CAD etc.
· Liaising with builders, clients and tradesperson/contractors regarding drawings, projects, plans, etc.
· Interpret plans and explain to stakeholders.
· Maintain adherence to regulations and practice codes.
· Working closely with architect, certifier, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet client specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
· Conducting site visits to gather measurements and data necessary for accurate and efficient drafting.
· Preparing and managing project documentation, including specifications, schedules, costing and reports.
· Creating 3D models to showcase designs of plans, products, buildings, etc.
· Prepare preliminary sketches, drawings, making plans, address design and construction challenges, provide practical solutions and revising plans.
· Ensuring drawings and plans are of the highest quality and accuracy.
Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year

- Ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of drawings and specifications.
- Minimum three-year work experience in residential drafting/relevant qualifications in Canberra.
- Strong knowledge of Australian residential construction processes and methods.
- Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards.
- Australian work experience preferred.
- A positive attitude, creative mindset, and eagerness to learn and contribute to the team.
- Knowledge of drafting software including Revit, Auto CAD.
- Proven experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or similar role in Canberra.
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Auto CAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles and construction techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Experience with 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Must reside locally.
- Salary offered is between $65,000 to $90,000 plus guaranteed superannuation depending on your qualifications and experience.
